Our internal network is completed wired with gigabit ethernet, and we also have gigabit connections to the Hurricane Electric switches.

Hurricane Electric has been quickly expanding their Fremont facility. This means that we can have virtually unlimited rack space at this location.

Hurricane Electric provides one 15-amp circuit per rack. Because of this constraint, we often have to consider a rack full before all of the cabinet space is used. To avoid power outages due to tripping breakers, we consider the power on a rack to be completely used at 80% (12 amps). The cost per rack is reasonable so obtaining an extra cabinet solely for more power is a reasonable compromise.
