The AOServ Platform allows resellers
to become Virtual Web Hosting Providers or Virtual ISPs. All of our tools may be hosted and branded by our resellers,
including the Control Panels
and WebMail. This means that
our resellers can focus on their core business while letting us handle the
technology and
infrastructure. They can even
customize their package configurations
to meet a specific price range or market demographic, while buying resources from us at a reduced rate.
The system was written to meet the needs of both our resellers and ourselves. The requirements and feedback of our
resellers helped us mold our software into portable, well-documented,
and easy-to-use modules. Because
the system was as much developed for our resellers as ourselves, our resellers benefit from all the
programming capabilities
and tools we use.
Administrative control within our system is based on a hierarchical set of accounts.
At the top level is AO Industries, allowing us to managed all
accounts in the system. Our resellers and direct customers are in the next level of the hierarchy.
The resellers have sub-accounts that they can manage through all of our systems, including Control Panels
and Automation APIs.
The overall result is that AO Industries and our resellers use the same set of tools, with the same capabilities, but at a
different level in the administrative hierarchy.
The system can also allow resellers to have resellers, but this arrangement is rarely needed and authorized.
